Lesbian and Gay Band Association
The Aloha Pride Band is a member of the Lesbian and Gay Band Association (LGBA), an international network of nearly 30 concert and marching bands across the United States, Canada and Australia. In 2007, LGBA celebrated its 25th anniversary at Silver in St. Louis, a conference that included a concert and an anniversary gala. The next annual LGBA conference, Deliciously Wicked, will be held in New York October 30 - November 2, 2008. Highlights of the conference will include marching in the Halloween parade through Greenwich Village, workshops (including specialized session for jazz band and small ensembles) and the Boo Ball. Honolulu Pride Festival Foundation
The Pride Festival Foundation strives to bring together the community of Honolulu in a celebration of LGBTQ pride. The purpose of the foundation is to create and facilitate a festival, parade and celebration of LGBTQ pride, to promote diversity and a senses of community, and to network aspects of the LGBTQ community and its individuals, groups, organizations and businesses.
